Perthshire's Hidden Gem

Arriving at Culcrieff it's natural to take a deep breath and relax. And we wouldn't want it any other way.

In every direction you'll be astounded by the breathtaking views. The warmest of welcomes awaits you in our small but cosy clubhouse. The food on offer will satisfy the hungriest golfer. And, at under 5000 yards, the scorecard looks inviting too.

But don't be fooled.

There aren't many places in Scottish golf where the club player will have to work harder to play to his (or her) handicap.

The punitive rough and various out of bounds await to punish the reckless; but the thinking golfer (regardless of handicap) can usually negotiate his way safely onto the fairways of our testing course.

Finding the small greens, however, is no easy task and, in summer especially, their speed and undulations remind some of a links course - in the Perthshire highlands!

And like the seaside, the wind can also be a factor.

So, are you up to the challenge?

You won't win many prizes if you just manage to play to your handicap but you will gain the respect of the members and, who knows, one of us might even buy you a drink!
